Bra Sized Bikini Top Fit Tips
Finding the right bra sized swimwear top can be hard. We're here to help!
How Should Your Cups Fit?
Your cup should sit smoothly and the underwire should lay flat underneath your bust.
-
Your breasts are spilling out the top of your bikini.
Fit Solution:
Go up a cup size or two so that the cup forms to the breast. -
Your breasts look like they're hanging out over the sides.
Fit Solution:
Go up a cup size to ensure you're getting enough coverage. -
Your bra cups are gaping.
Fit Solution:
Tighten your straps and check your fit, you may need to go down a cup size for a better fit or try a different style.
How Should Your Straps Fit?
Straps should only support about 20% of the bust, it's your band that should be doing the heavy lifting.
-
Your straps keep falling down
Fit Solution:
Try tightening the straps. If you have picked a larger band size, it is most likely that the shoulder straps will keep slipping because they are set far apart. If the straps keep falling, try a smaller band or cup size. Remember, the support comes from the band, not the straps. -
Your straps are digging into your shoulders.
Fit Solution:
Your straps should not be doing the heavy lifting! Try loosening the straps for a more comfortable fit. If you're still having issues, try a smaller band size for the best fit.
How Should Your Band Fit?
Your band should fit comfortably around your body, snug but not tight.
-
Band rides up and there is no support.
Fit Solution:
Ideally, you want your back band to lay straight across your back. If it's rising up you should try a smaller band size. -
Band is constricting.
Fit Solution:
Bands that cause bulging and digging into sides mean the band is too tight. Try going up a band size or two for a better fit.
